I’m a Liberian-American founder, writer, and producer. I built the Bushwick Film Festival in New York City from the ground up—now in its 18th year—and lead Starlit Pictures, a Los Angeles–based production company dedicated to bold, character-driven storytelling. I write, produce, and perform in original film and television projects, bringing creative teams together to craft stories that resonate and create real connection.
Alongside my creative work, I’m an experienced speaker, moderator, and creative strategist who’s been invited by global brands, conferences, and universities to speak on topics including film, producing, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment. I also offer creative strategy and mentorship sessions for artists, founders, and storytellers who want clarity, structure, and support as they build their next chapter.

My Work
Bushwick Film Festival
The Bushwick Film Festival is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to discover emerging voices, share great stories, and build community through the power of film. As an MWBE organization, we are proud to be part of the 12% of film festivals in the U.S. that are owned by women of color. With over 1000 yearly film submissions from 60+ countries, the festival draws 5000 attendees and features the top 100 indie films from NYC and beyond. In addition to film screenings, the five-day festival includes a red carpet opening, a movie industry conference, networking events, a screenplay competition, and a closing night awards ceremony.
The Bushwick Film Festival has received recognition from City and State Elected officials for its significant contribution to Brooklyn's cultural, artistic, and economic growth. With the generous support of our partners and sponsors, we are able to expand our free public programming and develop filmmaking programs specifically designed to empower and uplift underrepresented storytellers in the Brooklyn community.
Starit Pictures
I founded Starlit Pictures to tell bold, character-driven stories that bring fresh perspectives to the screen. From dramas and thrillers to socially driven documentaries, our work explores the complexity of the human experience across cultures and genres.
Recent projects include Guardians of the Gibbons (a short documentary for The Guardian), The Writer (a queer drama set in New York and Lithuania), Her Possessive Guard (a vertical romance-action series), and New York Day Woman (a Tribeca-premiering short exploring identity, family, and cultural legacy).
In addition to producing work by other bold filmmakers, I also develop and perform in original projects that reflect my creative voice and vision.

Speaker, Moderator, Host
As a speaker, moderator, and host, I bring nearly two decades of experience in film, media, and entrepreneurship. Whether I’m on stage or leading a conversation, I create dynamic, engaging moments that inspire, inform, and connect.
I’ve had the honor of speaking at TEDx, Google, SAG-AFTRA, JPMorgan Chase, and leading universities—always with the goal of making the creative journey feel accessible, empowering, and real.
My talks explore creativity, storytelling, leadership, and the courage it takes to build something from the ground up. Above all, I aim to leave audiences energized and ready to take their next step.
